Classical Master Classes   [ watch, learn, play ]

Every year, the elite Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in Tel Aviv plays host to some of the world's greatest musicians, as they visit to give masterclasses to gifted BMSM students. And as well as our own renowned faculty members, as the partner school of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra the BMSM is privileged to be visited by many of the IPO's famous guest artists.

We felt it was time to share this treasure trove of marvellous master classes with aspiring musicians everywhere, so that they could feel something of the magic of being in the room as the baton is passed from famous teacher to potential star of tomorrow. And whatever your level, there are always invaluable takeaways you can apply to your own interpretations.

Already our collection includes masters such as Andras Schiff, Gianandrea Noseda, Yuja Wang, Thomas Hampson, Martin Grubinger, Olga Kerns, Christoph Eschenbach, Renault Capucon, Thomas Quasthoff, Julian Rachlin, Martin Frost and many more.

We will add to this website as more visiting artists and resident faculty (many of whom are musicians of the Israel Philharmonic) grace our students with their advice - often in the BMSM's atmospheric Clairmont Hall, or Targ Hall, or in the beautiful venues of the Israel Philharmonic (and sometimes in other venues).
